ebm-papst and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport continuing partnership into new season

With the first race of the 2017 Formula OneTM season just over a month away, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport recently announced their driver line up for the coming season. However, the change of driver does not mean a change in cooling solutions. 2017 marks the fourth year of the successful working relationship between ebm-papst and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, providing effective cooling and ventilation solutions for the team and cars on and off the track.

When Nico Rosberg announced his immediate retirement from Formula OneTM in December 2016, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport was left with limited time to find a quality replacement. With the recruitment of Valtteri Bottas a promising candidate was found: with 77 Formula OneTM starts the 27-year-old has already had 9 podium finishes.

New recruit Valtteri was cautiously optimistic when he met his new team in the factory on January 16th. "It's very exciting times for me," he grinned. "I think it's going to take a while to understand that this is really happening. It's definitely another dream come true, to race in another team with such great history - especially in the recent years, which have been so impressive. I'm really proud to become a part of that and grateful to everyone at Mercedes for trusting my skills and giving me this opportunity”.

The regulation changes for the 2017 will make this season one of the most exciting in recent history and with the Team’s new driver line-up, ebm-papst has complete confidence in Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s ability to maintain their exceptional standing in Formula OneTM from the past three years.

Given the experience and knowledge in high quality fans and motors, ebm-papst was considered an obvious Official Supplier by Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport: “Our partnership with ebm-papst not only provides the team with the best solutions available to operate our racing cars but it also demonstrates the significance of new and innovative technologies within the sport.”
